19-06-2012 Erfgoedfair in Apeldoorn a succes

On Saturday June 16th Schitterend successfully participated at the first National Heritage Fair on the premises of royal palace 't Loo in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands.

Even before the doors of royal palace 't Loo opened at 10 am sharp, a long line of interested people queded up.... waiting to learn more about restoring, maintaining and decorating monuments, mansions, farmhouses and canal houses.

Throughout the day I inquired a continuous stream interested visitors, both private and business, about my glass art and craft techniques that I apply in my work. I also gave demonstrations on gilding every half hour. The gold leaf I applied to the glass panel 'Schitteren - gild & silver' you can see on photos on your left.

Visitors of my booth were widely interested and asked all ins and outs. Homeowners were mainly interested in the manufacturing of acid etched en-suite doors, with muslin patterns decorated top lights (windows) and intermediate glass doors, but also in giving an antique look to mirrors. Gallery owners and individuals were very interested in my glass artwork. Owners of special niche highly appreciated the chic decorative glass promotional billboards. In short, there was something for everyone. I consider it a very successful day.
