11-09-2016 Making antique mirrors for restaurant Nacional in Amsterdam

The TAO Group gave me to order to produce some antique mirrors with handdrawn design and some goldleaf gilding. The making of these antique mirrors for restaurant Nacional at the Leidseplein in Amsterdam was a little complex job because they all had to be made in a tight timeframe.

The antique aged mirrors had to be rather dark. The making took some steps, first design, then cleaning the glass and apply the design on the glass in black ink, after that i chemicaly silvered the glass panels and after that i goldleafed some details in high gloss gold on the reverse side. This making antique mirrors for restaurant Nacional in Amsterdam was a nice job wich had some different techniques in them. And the restaurant looks great with them.
