This glass artwork is inspired by the glass billboards that Parisian bakers applied on the facade of their shop around 1900. Proud of their bread, quality and craftsmanship, this was reflected in the richly decorated glass panels. A shop where so much attention was paid to the decoration attracted many customers. Also in The Netherlands this kind handcrafted billboards adorned many storefronts in the same time period.
On the backside of the glass panel 'The Mill’ various techniques are used, including hand painting and, with various carats, gold leaf gilding.
This glass art is a real eye-catcher and gives your (baker) store a distinctive look, but will also look wonderful on the wall of your livingroom.
